REAL IMPORTANT ISSUE #1 KNOW YOUR BILLS
You have to sit down with a calendar and your stack of bills (you know the stack -the one that
you look through when you get a disconnect notice). Mark due dates for every conceivable bill with minimum
amounts due. This is when most people scratch their head and say, "Yeah, I can afford that."
No you can't.
Now you have to go back to the calendar and add the regular expenses, this is where you find out why
you never can make the bills. Figure out what you pay throughout the week on grocerys and put that in on Saturday.
Do you put $25 a week in gas, put that in Sunday. Any thing you pay for regularly, give it a fiqure and a day
so you can count it. Now your problems are coming more into focus - BUT IT GETS WORSE.
Finally lets put a number on "incidental expenses". If you own a car you know that every
other month you need tires or an inspection or a new fuel pump. If you own a house you know that at least twice
a year a water heater will go or a roof will leak. Add up $100 for every car you own plus $100 if you own a home
and then $100 for just the hazards of life and put that fiqure at the first of the month.
* NOW THAT YOU SEE HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS TO BE YOU REMEMBER TO BREATHE.
