Online "Store" Cards
These companies are often mislabeled as "platinum cards" or "gold cards" because they look like a credit
cards but on closer inspection they don't have a VISA or MASTERCARD logo on them. In fact the only place you can
use these cards is with the sponsoring companies catalog. These cards often offer the best terms that you can
get with poor credit and usually do not require a deposit. These creditlines do report to the credit bureaus and
show up the same as a department store credit line. The serious drawback is that you have a very limited selection
of products to buy at inflated prices with inflated shipping and handling. However if you trust yourself with
a catalog this can be a very good way to reestablish credit. I have researched and found a couple (and only a
couple) legitimate companies.
